Mary Benke is an award-winning artist who combines the creative use of texture, color, and design to evoke emotion and a strong sense of imagery in her paintings.
For “Lyrical Landscapes,” she explored new techniques, creating highly textural pieces with the use of water-mixable oils, cold wax, and some unique tools including a silicone scraper and spatulas, along with brushes and palette knives.
During Opening Weekend, April 30-May 3, two door Prizes will be offered. A gilcee print donated by Mary Benke and as handwoven scarf donated by Chris Switzer. The Public can enter for either or both by coming to the gallery or by sending an email address/phone number to email@example.com
