Job Overview
Park Supply Hardware is looking for a dependable and experienced Paint Shop Manager to lead daily operations in our paint department. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day paint shop operations
- Supervise and support team members
- Ensure accuracy in paint mixing and color matching
- Maintain inventory of paints, supplies, and equipment
- Uphold quality control standards on all products
- Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace
- Train new employees and assist with ongoing development
- Manage workflow to meet customer and business demands
Requirements
- Previous paint shop or related experience preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to consistently lift 5-gallon buckets (50+ lbs)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Experience in hardware, industrial, automotive, or commercial paint
- Knowledge of paint systems, coatings, or finishes
- Familiarity with workplace safety standards
- Forklift experience (or willingness to be trained)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
